Amy, thank you for this. Once again, I feel that what you wrote is timely. I too, have been in churches where it seemed that emotions had just run rampant. I have been touched by the power of God and like you, trembled. You are correct when you say it is like a refiner's fire. It changes you. I've always been bothered by videos of "church" with people shouting and running and all the things. To unbelievers it just looks like something to make fun of. I believe in order, just as the Word says. I say that as a Spirit filled believer. The church has got to quit elevating the gifts. We should always seek the One who gives the gifts. It is when we reverence the Lord and desire to be in His presence and fill ourselves with His word that His glory will be manifested.
